Michele L. A. Rollins is a seasoned attorney and business leader with extensive experience of over 20 years in real estate law, business and corporate transactions, public and government affairs. Michele leads the Real Estate Closings and Title Services practice group for the firm and oversees all aspects for real estate closings, title services and transactional real estate matters for both residential and commercial clients. With a strong background in solving complex problems related to residential closings, business operations, contract negotiations and dispute resolution, Michele has successfully represented builders, developers, lenders, investors and homeowners, ensuring smooth transactions and legal compliance. Michele’s expertise includes contract drafting, due diligence compliance, leases and settlement negotiations for both real estate transactions and land use disputes.
Michele’s career spans both the private and public sectors. She has served as Legal Counsel for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, advising the senior leadership team, upper-level management and HR team on employment law matters, human resources matters, procurement, and regulatory compliance. Michele appeared as local counsel in EEOC administrative hearings, mediations & settlement conferences negotiating on behalf of the Agency. Additionally, Michele partnered on the legal team with Foley & Lardner on the City of Jacksonville Disclosure Bond Counsel, contributing to municipal finance and tax-exempt bond offerings.
In the early part of her legal career, Michele held several leadership roles for national home builder KB Home, as their Regional Director of Government and Public Affairs, Land Acquisitions Manager, Operations Manager and Closing Manager, managing multimillion-dollar transactions and spearheading government affairs initiatives and paving the way for some major developments. Additionally, Michele has worked with other major clients, including the City of Jacksonville, Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville Aviation Authority and Walmart.
As an Arbitrator and a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Certified Mediator, Michele has spearheaded hundreds of mortgage foreclosure mediations and brings a comprehensive, results driven approach to her legal practice. Michele holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science & Criminal Justice from Georgia State University. Michele is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association.
Beyond her legal work, Michele is passionate about playing and coaching golf and can be found on a Saturday afternoon coaching junior golfers at the First Tee. Michele is also pursuing both certifications with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and the Players Golf Association (PGA) programs. Michele and her husband live in Ponte Vedra and enjoy spending time relaxing at the beach and golfing together.
