Previously, as the President, CEO, and Managing Attorney of L.A. Law P.A., a boutique law firm in Jacksonville, Florida, she oversaw all aspects of the firm’s real estate closings, title services, and transactional matters for residential and commercial clients.

Michele’s career spans both the private and public sectors. She has served as Legal Counsel for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, providing legal advice and guidance to the senior leadership team of multiple business units on employment law, human resources, procurement and regulatory compliance matters.  Michele guided senior level executives, management and HR team on employee discipline and discharge issues, non-compete agreements and other employee issues, conducted in-house employee investigations regarding employee complaints, including ethics hotline complaints. Also, as part of her role, Michele oversaw outside litigation counsel and assisted in coordinating cases with in-house legal counsel, as well as developed negotiated settlement agreements & provided other dispute resolution options with opposing counsel.

Additionally, Michele has held leadership roles in real estate development and public relations, managing multimillion-dollar transactions and spearheading government affairs initiatives for major clients, including the City of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Aviation Authority, Mayo Clinic, Walmart, UF Health, Swisher and Hines Corporation.

In the early part of her career Michele worked with national homebuilder KB Home, where she held a variety of positions during her four-year tenure, including Regional Director of Government and Community Affairs, Land Acquisitions Manager, Operations Manager and Closing Manager. In the latter two positions, Michele was directly responsible for managing multimillion dollar pipeline in real estate sales and closings monthly. She also oversaw the marketing and public relations functions related to the sales and closing goals monthly.

As a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Certified Mediator, Qualified Arbitrator and a licensed Real Estate Broker, Michele brings a comprehensive approach to her legal practice.

 Michele holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science & Criminal Justice from Georgia State University.

Beyond her legal work, Michele is passionate about community engagement and previously served as a Commissioner on the Jacksonville Human Rights Commission. Michele and her husband have lived in Ponte Vedra since 2002, and as an avid golfer, she is pursuing certification with both the LPGA and PGA Affiliate/Associate programs
