James Gonzalez Named Managing Partner at Cobb & Gonzalez

We are pleased to announce that James Gonzalez has been named Managing Partner of Cobb & Gonzalez, effective as of early January 2026.

As a co-founder of the firm, James brings extensive experience and leadership to this role. He focuses his practice on construction and business litigation, general liability, government contracts, business transactions, and estate planning. With over 15 years of legal experience, including his admission to The Florida Bar in 2007, James holds a J.D. and an MBA from Villanova University. He has also been appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida Board of Professional Engineers in 2022, where he currently serves as vice chair.

In this new position, James will oversee the firm’s day-to-day operations and management, guiding Cobb & Gonzalez as we continue to deliver innovative, client-focused legal solutions across our practice areas.

Co-founder and shareholder Christopher Cobb shared: “I will continue to serve on the firm’s executive committee, will still be doing legal work and will focus on the firm’s long-term expansion plans.”

This transition reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence, growth, and serving our clients throughout Florida, including our recent expansion into Central Florida.

We congratulate James on this well-deserved appointment and look forward to the continued success and leadership he will bring to the firm.
