PRIOR RESULTS DO NOT GUARANTEE A SIMILAR OUTCOME
- Represented a tractor rental company in a negligence action arising from a construction site accident in which a rented tractor was involved in a motor vehicle collision. Filed a motion for summary judgment establishing that the rental company bore no legal responsibility for the operator’s conduct. The case resolved prior to trial for a nominal amount.
- Represented a janitorial services contractor retained by a major airport in a slip-and-fall action involving an alleged foreign substance in a parking garage. Developed a strong defense based on the plaintiff’s prior knowledge of the condition and the open and obvious nature of the alleged hazard, as well as lack of evidentiary support (including failure to document the condition). After filing a motion for summary judgment, the case was resolved prior to trial for significantly less than the plaintiff’s demand.
